To me, Michael is that person that we are all designing for, and this is very specific to each designer. Michael could be an age group, a business, a specific individual or a whole community. But something that this course has taught is the importance of knowing and defining Michael, when we are in the designing process. So much ‘stuff’ is created that seems to lose its meaning or importance because of a clouded judgement of who the user is. And it is becoming ever more important that we design things for a reason and positive impact on how we live, rather than designing for designs sake.
